With Captain America standing next to him, Harold Magoon, Director of Lawrence/Methuen Community Coalition, made the announcement about the cleanup crusade about to start throughout the city.

Magoon made the announcement at Top Donut Coffee Shop, located at 173 Lawrence Street, on Monday, March 20, before community groups involved in the project, some city councilors and members of the Police and Fire Department.

According to Magoon, the cleanup crusade will start on Saturday, May 25, 2006. Volunteers will begin gathering at the Arlington School, 150 Arlington St., early in the morning and begin the cleanup promptly by 9:00 AM. The target area to be cleaned is the Arlington Neighborhood, placing emphasis in graffiti removal.
