Saturday, March 11, was the date of the Merrimack Valley YMCA’s 15th Annual Auction held at the Wyndham Andover Hotel. Nearly 400 guests packed the ballroom and bit on the silent auction items, and live auction packages that had been donated.

Some popular items that saw fierce bidding were the stay at the Bar Harbor Inn in Maine; the Isla Del Sol Getaway vacation week; an autographed John Mellencamp guitar; a special ride to school on the Andover Fire Departments’s fire truck for four children; and many of the Boston sports teams ticket packages.

Richard Jumpp of The Jumpp Company in Chelmsford donated his auctioneering services for the 15th year in a row. He kept the bidding moving right along for the 56 live auction items. There 230 silent auction items on display for the first 90 minutes of the evening.
This year the auction raised over $76,000 in support of the YMCA’s “Reach Out For Youth” financial assistance program.
